Marije Seijn
Marije Seijn is an image and video maker based in Amsterdam. In her non traditional approach to photography she plays with context, perspective and distortion. Archetypical, figurative themes such as nature, nudes and flowers are often the starting point of her practice and serve as the building blocks for making semi abstract compositions. By manipulating and distorting the images intuitively with various analog and digital techniques, she creates work that provides a window into other realms, far away from the current crises in the physical world.
